DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
Well, I started college in mid 2009 but my creativity began much, much sooner. Upon entering college I didn’t have any experience using design software and there was a DC Comic Design Competition that ended in two weeks. I learned the software and submitted my design that won the local scholarship. It was clear that I was exactly where I wanted to be. Each class and project was an amazing experience that built upon my knowledge and skills that put me at the head of my class.
My work is and extension of myself so I take great pride in each project. I like to engage the target audience with copy as well as an interaction with the packaging. I believe it is very important to engage the target audience so as to further the relationship and experience. It helps build brand loyalty and that is what companies love.
My design philosophy has been the same as when I started college: “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” -Gestalt
